Your files move during a live session between two devices. AirDows does not store them to offer a download later.

What happens to your files
Direct route
The contents travel between the two connected browsers.
Relay route
A TURN provider forwards encrypted traffic while the session is active. AirDows does not write a permanent copy to its server.
The signaling server does not receive your file contents. It only helps the devices find each other and start the connection.
Data used to operate the service
- A temporary pairing code and session identifiers while the room is active.
- Technical data required for security, rate limits, and abuse prevention, such as the network address making a request.
- Aggregate counts of completed, failed, or cancelled transfers.
- Route, speed, duration, and size categories. AirDows uses ranges rather than the exact file size.
- Page and button usage through Umami to understand where users stop.
What metrics never include
- File names or file contents.
- Text shared through the clipboard.
- The pairing code.
- The exact file size.
- Full error messages that could contain device information.
Service providers
- Railway: hosts the application and signaling server.
- Metered: provides TURN relay routes when two networks cannot connect directly.
- Supabase: stores aggregate operational metrics.
- Umami: measures visits and product funnel steps.
- Telegram: sends internal operational alerts without file names or contents.
Data on your device
The web app may temporarily save information needed to resume a transfer or prepare files received from the Share menu. You can remove it by clearing site data in your browser.
Unused rooms expire after three minutes. Aggregate metrics are retained to compare service health over time.
